This document replaces GB 4706.101-2010 "Safety of rolling shutters, blinds, awnings, curtains and similar electrical appliances for household and similar purposes"
Compared with GB 4706.101-2010, in addition to structural and editorial changes, the main technical changes are
as follows.
--- Added "allow the drive device to obtain a safe position" (see 19.13);
--- Added "new abnormal test for drive devices with rated running time" (see 19.101);
--- Added "Tests to establish coverage for horizontal motion (non-rolling) drive components" (see 20.104.4);

This document is the protection requirements for electrical, mechanical, thermal, fire and radiation risks when the appliance is used normally in accordance with the instructions.
This document also covers abnormal conditions that may occur during use and considers how electromagnetic interference may affect the safe operation of the equipment.
This document has taken into account the requirements specified in GB/T 16895 "Low Voltage Electrical Installations". The appliance is connected to the power supply in accordance with the electrical wiring rules.

1 Scope
This chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following.
This document specifies the safety requirements for electric drives for shutters, awnings and blinds.
This document applies to household and similar appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V for single-phase appliances and 480V for other appliances.
Electric drives for shutters, awnings and blinds.
NOTE 101 Battery-powered drives and other DC-powered drives are within the scope of this document.
