1 Scope
This document describes the chemical analysis method for the determination of the composition of polyacrylonitrile preoxidized fibers and certain other fibers after removal of non-fibrous matter.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Polyacrylonitrile preoxidized fiber
The polyacrylonitrile raw yarn is oxidized by air at a certain temperature to form a heat-resistant ladder-shaped black fiber.
Note. It is an intermediate for preparing polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fibers.
4.A mixture of polyacrylonitrile pre-oxidized fiber and animal fiber (sodium hypochlorite method)
The principles, reagents, equipment, test procedures, calculation and expression of results involved shall be in accordance with GB/T 2910.4.
The correction factor (d value) for the mass change of oxidized fibers is 1.02.
