Household and similar refrigeration appliances for food preservation
1 Scope
This document describes a method for simulating the growth of foliar crops in one or more test areas with specified temperature, humidity, and air flow conditions.
Test method for loss of weight of products.
The method described in this document is only applicable to spaces with a length × width × height greater than.200 mm × 150 mm × 100 mm.
The purpose of the test is to measure the rate of weight loss by measuring the weight of the test load before and after the test within a given time.
Note. Weight loss is one of the factors to consider when evaluating product shelf life. Other factors, such as condensation, will be discussed later.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in IEC 62552-1.2015 and listed below apply.
3.1
Test zone
The space inside the refrigeration appliance where weightlessness testing is carried out.
NOTE 1.This space is usually a vegetable drawer or crisper, but can also be any other compartment, sub-compartment or convenience functional area, see IEC 62552-1.
3.3.1, 3.3.2 and 3.3.3 of.2015.The manufacturer shall fully describe any test areas to be tested.
NOTE 2.Any area in a refrigerator may be a test area. The test area needs to be separated from other areas in the same compartment or sub-compartment, or at least partially.
seal.
3.2
Test tray
A tray of specific size, with a certain number of test pieces placed on it and filled with a certain mass of water.
Note. The files used for 3D printing are in Appendix B. In the weightlessness test, each test area uses a large test tray that can hold 18 test pieces.
3.3
weight loss
The weight of water lost from the test load between two moments in time.
Note. The unit is gram (g).
