3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Village greening
Planting trees and grass and protecting vegetation on the surrounding land, yard land, public green land, abandoned and idle land within the rural area
The process of forest and grass cover.
Note. The surrounding land includes land beside villages, houses, roads and water; the yard land includes residential courtyards and unit yards; the public green land includes rural parks, small and micro parks,
Green space, etc.; abandoned idle land includes low-lying land, saline-alkali land, collapsed land, land for demolishing illegal buildings, polluted land, borrow pits, ditch slopes, idle land, etc.
