1 Scope
This document specifies routine electrical safety tests during or after production to detect failures during production and
Unacceptable deviations in the production process and in the use of materials.
This document applies to AC mains or DC mains powered equipment that implements IEC 60065, IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1
A complete device, assembly or component.
Note. All tests specified in this document may not necessarily be carried out at the production site of the final product. The best test site for routine electrical safety tests is determined by the equipment manufacturer.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in IEC 60065, IEC 60950-1 and IEC 62368-1 and the following apply.

4.Qualification
The equipment shall pass the applicable routine electrical safety tests in Chapter 5 and the test results shall be recorded in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 6 before leaving the factory.
NOTE. Use applicable methods to carry out the test, for example, find a suitable method to make the necessary connections to carry out the relevant tests.
5 Routine electrical safety tests
5.1 Resistance of the protective connection system
