4:1 Waste sources The sources of waste are as follows: a) astronaut; b) daily life; c) Repair and maintenance; d) Real/experimental: 4:2 Waste classification Waste is classified as follows: a) Lifestyle categories, including lifestyle dry categories and lifestyle wet categories; b) Chemical hazardous substances; c) Biomedical science; d) Abandoned equipment; e) Sharp objects; f) Radiation: See Appendix A for examples of space station waste classification:
