1 Scope

This document specifies the method for the determination of organic heat carrier carbon residues in the nitrogen-filled state. This document is applicable to the determination of carbon residues without organic heat carrier and organic heat carrier in use, and the mass fraction of carbon residue ranges from 0.01%~ 10.0%. This document does not apply to silicone oils.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 24747 and the following apply to this document. 3.1 Generic term for organic substances used as heat transfer media. 3.2 Organic heat carrier products that have not been injected into the heat transfer system. 3.3 Organic heat carriers that have been injected into heat transfer systems. 3.4 carbonresidue The residue formed after the sample is heated under certain conditions, evaporated and pyrolyzed.

4 Method overview

The sample to be tested is added to the sample tube, and in the state of nitrogen filling in the coking furnace, the temperature is programmed to heat up to 500 ℃ according to the specified temperature. The volatile substances are taken away by nitrogen, and the residual carbon value is calculated by the mass fraction of the residue in the sample to be tested.
