1 Scope

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 depilatory In the process of livestock and poultry slaughtering and processing, the monomers or components used to remove residual hair on the surface of livestock and poultry are composed of rosin glyceride, paraffin, edible animal oil and so on. compound processing aids. 3.2 melting smelting The process of heating a solid depilatory agent to melt it into a liquid. 3.3 Waximmersion The process of dipping a poultry carcass into molten depilatory (wax). 3.4 dewaxing The process of removing the depilatory agent attached to the surface of the poultry carcass after the wax dipping process is completed and cooled.
