5 Sowing seedlings
5.1 Seed quality
Seeds used for sowing and propagation must have quarantine procedures and an inspection certificate for seed viability. The seed germination rate is not less than 85%. Sumac

5.2 Seed treatment
5.2.1 Boiling water blanching seeds
Scald the seeds with boiling water for 5 minutes, the water volume is 15cm higher than the seed capacity, keep stirring for 2min~3min, then pour the water out, and then use 60℃
Rinse with warm water once to wash off the wax that is dissolved in boiling water outside the peel.
5.2.2 Alkaline water dewaxing
Dewax the dewaxed seeds with 80 ℃ alkaline water; add 0.5 kg to 1.0 kg alkali per 50 kg of lacquer seeds (half of washing powder and alkali are also acceptable), or grass
5kg wood ash, add appropriate amount of water, mix well and knead until the seed shell becomes rough. Then put it in 60℃ warm water to wash the wax and alkali.
