1 Scope

This document establishes the overall safety principles and safety factors to be considered for low-voltage DC systems and equipment. This document applies to DC systems and equipment with a DC voltage of 1500V and below, and provides guidance for considering safety factors.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 4776-2017 apply to this document. 3.1 Low voltage DC system and equipment Power supply or electrical systems and equipment used for power generation, transformation, transmission, distribution, energy storage or use of electricity with a rated output voltage not exceeding 1500V DC.

4 General

4.1 General The basic safety requirements specified in GB 19517 apply to this document. There are differences between DC and AC. In addition to meeting the basic safety requirements specified in GB 19517, low-voltage DC systems and equipment should also consider the The safety factors specified in Chapter 5 of the document to ensure the safety under the expected use and reasonable expected misuse, and take corresponding protective measures.
