GB/T 34000-2016 China Shipbuilding Quality Standard3 Terms and definitionsThe following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Superstructure
The structure of the upper continuous deck/freeboard deck of a ship, and an enclosed structure that extends from one side to the other or whose sidewall is not more than 4% of the width of the ship.
Note. The superstructure includes the living area, driving area and other deckhouses, excluding the forehouse.
3.2
Superstructure manufacturing integrity
According to the requirements of the drawings, complete the superstructure structure, outfitting and painting operations and complete the related inspection work, and the results meet the requirements of the corresponding technical specifications.4 Structural integrity requirements4.1 Assembly
4.1.1 The assembly of the ship's superstructure should be completed in accordance with the ship's assembly drawings and assembly process regulations.
4.1.2 The assembly quality of the superstructure should meet the requirements of 3.1.2 and 5.1.6 in GB/T 34000-2016.
4.1.3 The deck structure of each layer is installed completely and assembled correctly.
4.1.4 The attachments of the structural stickers shall be fixed according to the drawing requirements.
4.1.5 The hull rings, supports, and temporary reinforcement are assembled according to the drawings.
4.2 Welding
4.2.1 The welding of the ship’s superstructure should be completed in accordance with the requirements of the ship’s welding drawings and welding procedures.
4.2.2 The welding quality of the superstructure should meet the requirements of 3.1.3 and 5.1.7 in GB/T 34000-2016.
4.2.3 The welding reserved position and size of the closed area meet the drawing requirements.
