Wind resistance requirements for civil light and small UAV systems and
experiment method
1 Scope
This standard specifies the wind resistance requirements and test methods for civil light and small UAV systems, including wind resistance requirements, test purposes, and test methods.
Test conditions, test environment, test interruption and recovery, test criteria, test process, test data processing, test result evaluation and test report.
This standard applies to civil light and small rotor type drones (take-off weight between 0.25kg and 150kg) systems (including aircraft and ground
Station), including unmanned helicopter systems, multi-rotor UAV systems, vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing UAV systems (only during take-off and landing) and other rotors
UAV system; other types of UAV systems can be implemented by reference.
2 Normative references

Used in this document.
3.1
Sustainedwind
The wind speed and wind direction remain stable and unchanging for a certain period of time.
3.2
Gust
The wind direction fluctuates for a short time, and the wind speed changes drastically.
Note. Gusts are usually understood as wind with a sudden increase in wind speed.
3.3
Shearwind
Wind that changes in wind direction and/or wind speed within a short distance at the same height or at different heights.
Note. Refers to the vector difference of wind between two points in space.
3.4
Capabilityofwindresistance
With the participation of the flight control system, the UAV system has the ability to resist a certain level of wind.
Note. According to the state when the UAV system resists the corresponding wind speed, the wind resistance can be divided into the lowest safe wind resistance and the lowest operational wind resistance.
