1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, structural types and installation grooves of the rubber seals of the main drive train system of wind turbines. Requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation. This standard is applicable to wind turbines with a shaft diameter of 400mm~3920mm and a matching cavity diameter of 444mm~4000mm. Non-protective lip rotating shaft lip seal for main drive chain system, lip seal with protective lip, profiled dust ring, single end face V-rings and assembled end face V-rings (collectively referred to as seals).
