1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of aerospace glass, test environmental conditions, haze, light transmittance, optical distortion, optical angular deviation and binocular
Test method for optical properties such as parallax.
This standard applies to organic or inorganic aerospace transparent parts of single or laminated structure.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Transmittance luminoustransmittance
The ratio of the luminous flux through a transparent material or transparent member to the luminous flux incident on a transparent material or transparent member is expressed as a percentage.
3.2
Haze haze
The ratio of the scattered light flux to the direction of the incident light transmitted through the transparent material or the transparent member to the direction of the incident light is expressed as a percentage.
3.3
Optical distortion opticaldistortion
When viewed through transparent materials or transparent parts, the geometry of the object is deformed.
3.4
Optical angular deviation opticalangulardeviation
The amount of change in the angle of light travel after passing light through a transparent material or a transparent piece.
3.5
Binocular parallax binoculardeviation
The difference between the two optical angular deviations when the eyes are viewed through the transparent material or the transparent member.
Note. In the measurement, the binocular parallax is the optical angular deviation produced by two points of the two parallel rays passing through the glass representing the average distance (63.5 mm) of the eyes of the person.
