1 Scope
This standard specifies the file format for high definition television program exchange.
This standard applies to finished program files for inter-system exchange in high definition television production systems, media asset systems and broadcast systems.
Program material files, as well as files for exchanges generated by devices from different vendors, are also applicable to production facilities, production and broadcast organizations.
