1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, detection methods, and results determination for the identification of pearl powder by X-ray diffraction analysis.
This standard applies to the qualitative identification of freshwater pearl powder.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Pearl pearl
An orthorhombic aragonite bound by man-made hard proteins and calcium carbonate by human intervention or naturally formed in the mollusk

3 Principle
