1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, dimensions and technical requirements of the upper roller guides used to guide the mooring lines of ships.
This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of topless roller guides.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Safe working load safeworkingload; SWL
The maximum tensile force that a mooring line is allowed to withstand under normal operating conditions, in kilohertz (kN).
4 classification
4.1 type
The topless roller guides are divided into the following four types according to the structure.
a) Type 3R---there is a topless roller guide with cable holes;
b) Type 4RL---an upper roller guide with a cable hole and a guide roller on the left side;
c) Type 4RR---there is a topless roller guide with a cable hole and a guide roller on the right side;
d) Type 5R---There is no upper roller guide with two cable holes.
4.2 Nominal size
The nominal size DN of the upper roller guide is expressed in millimeters for the outer diameter of the main roller, which are. DN140, DN160,
DN180, DN200, DN250, DN300A, DN300B, DN400A, DN400B and DN400C.
