1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of thyristor valves for HV DC transmission (hereinafter referred to as thyristor valves), basic parameter grades, and use strips.
Parts, performance requirements, testing and packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to water-cooled, air-insulated, indoor-mounted thyristor valves. Other types of thyristor valves are also referred to.

A bistable semiconductor device that can be switched from an off state to an on state by three or more PN structures.
