1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classifications, requirements, test methods and inspection rules for printed digital watermarks.
This standard applies to anti-counterfeiting products and related products using printed digital watermarking technology.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 17004-1997 apply to this document.

Digital watermark digitalwatermark
A protection information embedded in a carrier file using a computer algorithm.
3.2
A special digital watermark that can be used for press printing output and printer printout.
Note. Digital watermarks embedded in printed matter can be detected by special tools such as digital watermark optical detector, digital watermark smartphone software and scanning.
The instrument is equipped with a computer software system and the like.
