3 terms and definitions
The definitions and terms defined in GB/T 13966-2013 and the following definitions and terms apply to this document.
3.1
Mass spectrometer massspectrometer
So that the measured material ionization to form different mass-to-charge ratio of ions, the use of electromagnetic principle to ion separation in accordance with the mass ratio and determination of ion current
The instrument, usually by the injection system, ion source, mass analyzer, ion detector, vacuum system, electronic measurement and control system and data processing system
And other major components.
3.2
Quality accuracy massaccuracy
The mass spectrometer measures the deviation of the mass and the theoretical value of an ion.
3.3
Mass range massrange
The mass spectrometer can determine the range from lowest to highest mass to charge ratio, expressed as "lowest mass ratio to maximum mass to charge ratio".
Note. the mass ratio of the unit is u, also used amu said.
3.4
Mass resolution massresolution
The ability of the mass spectrometer to distinguish two adjacent mass peaks.
Note. There are two calculation methods.
