Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 3183-2017 "Cement for Masonry". Compared with GB/T 3183-2017, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes.
In addition, the main technological changes are as follows.
a) The definition of masonry cement has been changed (see 3.1,.2017 version 3.1);
b) The requirements for cementitious mortar materials in masonry have been revised (see 4.3,.2017 edition of 4.3);
c) The material "kiln ash" has been removed (see 4.4 in the.2017 edition);
d) The technical requirements for chloride ions have been revised (see 6.1.2,.2017 version of 6.1.2);
e) The method for determining water retention has been changed and Appendix A has been deleted (see 7.5, Appendix A of the.2017 edition);
f) The strength test method has been changed (see 7.6,.2017 edition of 7.6);
g) A test method for the methylene blue value of limestone and sandstone has been added (see 7.8);
h) The numbering and sampling requirements have been changed (see 8.1,.2017 version 8.1);
i) The inspection requirements have been changed (see 8.2,.2017 version 8.2);
j) Factory requirements have been changed (see 8.4, 9.1 in the.2017 version);
k) The requirements for inspection reports have been changed (see 8.5, 8.4 in the.2017 version);
l) Packaging requirements have been changed (see 9.1, 10.1 in the.2017 edition).

1 Scope
This document specifies the materials, codes and strength grades, technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of cement used for masonry.
The corresponding experimental methods are described.
This document applies to the production and acceptance of masonry cement for masonry and plastering mortar and subbase concrete.
