This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This standard replaces GB/T 7631.3-1995 "engine oil category", compared with the GB/T 7631.3-1995, major technological changes
as follows.
--- Increasing the GF-1, SJ, GF-2, SL, GF-3, SM, GF-4, SN, GF-5 engine oil varieties petrol and CF, CF-2, CG-4, CH-4,
CI-4, CJ-4 diesel engine oil diesel oil varieties and agricultural varieties (see Table 1);
--- Increased engine oil varieties abrogated (see Appendix A);
--- Annul SC, SD gasoline engine oil varieties and CD-Ⅱ, CE diesel engine oil varieties (see the 1995 version of the table);
--- Delete the original standard Annex A, Annex B (see the 1995 version of Annex A, Annex B).

GB/T 14906 engine oil viscosity classification
3 Code Description
3.1 Detailed engine oil is based on product characteristics, using the occasion and use objects division.
3.2 Each breed consists of two capital letters and numbers of the code representation. The first number is a contemporary letter "S" on behalf of steam
Oil oil, "GF" on behalf of gasoline fuel, with fuel economy requirements for passenger car engine oil, and the first letter of the second letter
Or the first letters and numbers in the second letter and subsequent combination of the representative quality levels. The first number is a contemporary letter "C" on behalf of firewood
