Safety test method for bunk bed structure

1 Scope

This document describes the conditions, equipment, procedures and test reports for safety testing of bunk bed structures. This document applies to well-installed beds with a bed surface height ≥ 600mm from the ground. The loads and forces in the strength and durability tests specified in this document are applicable to beds with an internal length greater than 1400 mm and a small width. Beds with a height of less than or equal to 1200mm. This document does not apply to furniture (such as cabinets, tables, chairs, stools, etc.) below the bed with a height above the ground ≥ 600mm.

2 Normative reference documents

4 General test conditions

4.1 Test tolerances Unless otherwise specified, the following tolerances apply to this document. ---All forces should be ±5% of the nominal force; ---All masses should be ±1% of the nominal mass; ---For all sizes smaller than.200mm, the deviation should be ±1mm from the nominal size; the deviation for other sizes should be ±0.5%; impact The dimensional deviation of the spherical curvature radius of 300mm in the head (see 5.3.3) and loading pad (see 5.4.1) should be ±5mm; ---The deviation between the loading pad and the impact head loading position should be ±5mm. Note. When the above tolerances are met, the test results are considered not to be adversely affected. When loading, the force value can be replaced by the mass of the weight. The conversion uses the relationship 10N=1kg. 4.2 Initial preparation for the test Products containing adhesive materials should be stored under normal indoor conditions for at least 7 days from the time they are made to before testing; products made of other materials should be stored under normal indoor conditions. It should be stored under specified indoor conditions for at least 48 hours before testing. For assembled test pieces, the test piece should be assembled according to the assembly instructions of the test piece. If the test piece can be assembled in different ways, it should be assembled in the most unfavorable way. Assemble the test piece. Products intended to be fastened together in pairs or to the building structure shall be tested individually unless their instructions specifically require that they be fastened to another location. on a specimen or building structure.
