This revised standard adopts ISO 5404.2002 "Leather - Physical and mechanical tests - Determination of heavy leather waterproof performance" (in English).
ISO 5404.2002-based method used International Leather Technologists and Chemists Association (IULTCS) standard method
IUP11.
It gives a list of the technical differences and their reasons in Appendix A for reference.
For ease of use, this standard also made the following editorial changes.
a) Remove the preface to international standards;
b) to the "international standards" be replaced by "this standard";
c) use the decimal point. "" instead of a comma as the decimal point "."
