This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 20896-2007 "Watertight Stern Compartments and Quick-Drain Stern Compartments for Small Boats" and is consistent with GB/T 20896-2007. Compared to previous versions, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows. ---The terms "concave body" and "stern compartment" have been changed (see 3.6 and 3.7, 3.8 in the.2007 edition); ---Added multi-bottom concave bodies (see 3.15); ---Added requirements for engine vents installed in recesses (see 6.2); ---The concept of a concave shape to reduce the risk of water immersion has been added (see 7.2); ---Added a recessed area for the foot pedal (see 10.3); ---The data for "minor head loss" has been revised (see Table A.5, Table D.1 in the.2007 edition); ---The phrase "major head loss" has been removed (see D.3 in the.2007 edition). 1 Scope

This document specifies the watertightness and rapid sluice gate designation for watertight and rapid sluice gates and the stern compartment on small boats with a hull length not exceeding 24m, as well as the procedures for sluice gate operation. Requirements for space and threshold height, etc. (see reference [1]). This document covers recesses located on the raised component. This document does not specify the size, shape, or location of the recess or stern compartment. This document only considers gravity drainage, not drainage via pumps or... Other methods of draining water.
