Determination of mechanical properties of protective clothing
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the puncture resistance of protective clothing and protective clothing materials.

Puncture resistance
The maximum force required to make the test nail penetrate the test sample at a certain speed

4 Sampling
Four groups of samples are randomly selected from the sample, and the diameter of each group is less than 50 to ensure compliance with the size requirements of the fixture. mm
5 Test method
5.1 Test equipment
5.1.1 Power tester
The equipment has a vertical stroke of not less than 100 mm and a constant speed (100 ± 10) mm/min.
A device for recording force and deformation is also required.
5.1.2 Test nail
Made of steel with a minimum hardness of 60 HRC. Its size and structure are shown in Figure 1.
Light microscopy should be used every time the test nail is used 500 times or after one year of use. When the sample is liable to cause test pin loss, it should be increased
Checking frequency. If the inspection results show that the test nail does not meet the dimensions of Figure 1, the test nail should be replaced.
5.1.3 Sample clamp
The clamp ring includes 2 steel disks and 4 clamping nuts. The thickness of the steel disk is not less than 10 mm, and the center has a hole with a diameter of (20 ± 0.5) mm.
The clamping ring ensures that the specimen does not slip during the test. as shown in picture 2.
Note. When necessary, auxiliary clamping of the workpiece can be used to prevent the specimen from sliding or reduce the wear on the specimen.
5.2 Pretreatment
Specimens shall be pretreated in accordance with the requirements of ISO 2231. If there is evidence during the test that the material is not affected by humidity,
