This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB/T 20091-2006 "Organization Type", compared with GB/T 20091-2006, except for structural adjustments and editing

1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and coding method of the organization and the type and code of the organization.
This document applies to the classification and coding of all organizations registered in the territory of the People's Republic of China.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Organization
Collective term for legal persons and unincorporated organizations.
3.2
Legalentities
An organization that has capacity for civil rights and capacity for civil conduct, and independently enjoys civil rights and undertakes civil obligations in accordance with the law.
3.3
For-profit legal entities
A legal person established for the purpose of obtaining profit and distributing it to shareholders and other investors.
3.4
Non-profit legal entities
A legal person established for public welfare or other non-profit purposes and does not distribute the profits obtained to investors, founders or members.
3.5
Special legal entities
Institutional legal person, rural collective economic organization legal person, urban and rural cooperative economic organization legal person, grassroots mass autonomous organization legal person

Unincorporatedorganization
An organization that does not have the status of a legal person, but can engage in civil activities in its own name in accordance with the law.
