This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document replaces GB/T 19203-2003 "Determination of Calcium, Magnesium and Sulfur Content in Compound Fertilizers" and is consistent with GB/T 19203-2003.
Compared to previous versions, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---The scope of this document has been modified (see Chapter 1);
---Added requirements for terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);

1 Scope
This document describes the methods for determining the calcium, magnesium, and sulfur content in compound fertilizers.
This document applies to the determination of calcium, magnesium, and sulfur content in compound fertilizers. The determination of calcium, magnesium, and sulfur content in other fertilizers should be performed in accordance with this document.

3 Terms and Definitions

Sample preparation shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8571.
5.Preparation of sample solution
5.1 Reagents and Materials
Unless otherwise specified, only reagents of analytical grade shall be used in inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, and only reagents of analytical grade shall be used in atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
For the analytical grade reagents, only analytical grade reagents are used in the volumetric method and the gravimetric method.
5.1.1 Water. GB/T 6682, Grade I or Grade II.
5.1.2 Nitric acid.
5.1.3 Perchloric acid.
5.1.4 Hydrochloric acid solution. 1 volume of hydrochloric acid is added to 5 volumes of water.
5.1.5 Aqua regia. Mix hydrochloric acid and nitric acid at a volume ratio of 3.1, and let stand for 20 minutes before use.
5.1.6 Citric acid solution. ρ(CA) = 20 g/L, stored in a plastic bottle.
5.1.7 Hydrochloric acid solution. c(HCl) = 0.5 mol/L.
5.2 Instruments and Equipment
