1 Scope

This document specifies the structure, performance, type test and inspection requirements of marine fax receivers. Meteorological charts referred to in Part III-5 of World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Publication No. 386 “Facsimile transmission of meteorological charts by radio”. This document applies to shipborne radiofacsimile receivers intended for the reception of weather charts and other images representing meteorological conditions as an aid to maritime navigation.
