This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB/T 17694-2009 "Geographical Information Terminology". Compared with GB/T 17694-2009, except for structural adjustment and compilation
In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The ICS classification of the standard cover has been added to the International Standard Classification 35.240.70 (Applications of Information Technology in Natural Sciences);
b) Changed the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2009 edition);
c) The two chapters "Concept Selection Criteria" and "Term Record Structure" were deleted (see Chapters 6 and 7 of the.2009 edition);
d) Delete the three items "Maintenance of term bases", "Terms and definitions derived from geographic information standards and technical specifications" and "Principles for writing definitions"
A normative appendix (see Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C of the.2009 version);
e) Added general rules for constructing terminology entries (see Chapter 6);
