Foreword
This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 15906-1995 "Determination of the content of butyl rubber or polyisobutylene in rubber". With GB/T 15906-
1995, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- modified the standard name;
- modified tantalized hydrogen peroxide purity (see 4. 8,.1995 edition 3.8);
--- modify the Buchner funnel for the G4 sand core funnel (see 5.5 and 6.5,.1995 edition 4.4 and 4.5);
- the amount of t-butyl hydroperoxide added (see 7.4,.1995 edition 6.4);
--- modified beaker specifications (see 7.6,.1995 edition 6.6);
- modified the expression of the trial error (see Chapter 9,.1995, Chapter 8).
This standard is proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association.
This standard by the National Rubber and Rubber Products Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC35) centralized.

Rubber isobutylene - isoprene rubber or polyisobutylene
Determination of content
Caution - Personnel using this standard should have practical experience in formal laboratory work. This standard does not indicate all possible security questions
question. It is the responsibility of the user to adopt appropriate safety and health measures and to ensure compliance with the conditions set forth in the relevant national regulations.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of isobutylene-isoprene rubber or polyisobutylene content in rubber.
This standard is applicable to rubber or rubber products containing the following R rubber, ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer (EPDM)
Ene-isoprene rubber (hereinafter referred to as "butyl rubber") or polyisobutylene content. R-type rubber, including. butadiene rubber (BR), neoprene two
(R), polyisoprene rubber (IR), natural rubber (NR), acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) and styrene-butadiene rubber
(SBR). Products containing other polymers include chlorinated butyl rubber (CIIR) and bromobutyl rubber (BIIR), a control composition of known composition
After the reference can be used.
This standard does not apply to the simultaneous determination of the content of individual components in butyl rubber and polyisobutylene composite rubber.

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the dated edition applies to this article
Pieces. For undated references, the latest edition (including all modifications) applies to this document.
Determination of rubber solvent extract
3 Summary of methods
The rubber containing the unsaturated carbon chain (including the diene component in the butyl rubber) is digested with nitric acid, the unrecipitated polyisobutylene component is treated with tert-butyl
Hydrogen peroxide, chloroform-petroleum ether mixed solvent to dissolve, filter to remove the filler, with absolute ethanol precipitation of polyisobutylene, and then dry,
Weighing.
4 Reagent or material
Unless otherwise stated, only the reagents identified as analytical reagents and distilled or deionized water or comparable purity were used in the analysis.
4.1 nitric acid.
4.2 xylene.
4.3 Trichloromethane.
4.4 anhydrous ethanol.
4.5 Acetone.
4.6 petroleum ether (boiling range. 30 ℃ ~ 60 ℃).
4.7 Trichloromethane - petroleum ether mixed solvent (1 1, volume ratio).
4.8 tert-butyl hydroperoxide. purity of not less than 70%.
Note. tert-butyl hydroperoxide in 75 ℃ below the stability of room temperature can be stored for several months.
Warning. high temperature easy to explode.
