This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 15579.10-2008 "Arc Welding Equipment Part 10.Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Requirements". versus
Compared with GB/T 15579.10-2008, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Added the option to use decoupling network and load outside the shield (see 4.6);
--- Increase the test layout of portable equipment (see 5.1);
--- Added test conditions for complex control equipment, liquid cooling system, arc starting and arc stabilizing devices (see 5.3);
--- Cancellation of the narrow band limit relaxation in RF emissions (see 6.3.3 of the.2008 edition);

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 15579 specifies.
a) RF emission standards and test methods;
b) Standards and test methods for harmonic current emission, voltage fluctuation and flicker;
c) Immunity requirements and test methods, including continuous disturbance, transient disturbance, conducted disturbance, radiated disturbance and electrostatic discharge.
This section applies to equipment for arc welding and similar processes, including power supplies and auxiliary equipment, such as wire feeders, cooling systems, arc starting and arc stabilizing equipment
Set etc.
Note 1.Similar processes refer to plasma cutting, arc stud welding, etc.
Note 2.This section does not involve the basic safety requirements of arc welding equipment, such as protection against electric shock, unconventional operation, insulation coordination and related dielectric strength tests.
Arc welding equipment that performs type tests in accordance with this section and meets the requirements is applicable to all applications.
