Introduction
Atmospheric exposure corrosion test purposes under the conditions of.
--- Obtained under atmospheric conditions metals, alloys and other inorganic metal coating layer 1) corrosion resistance data;
--- Evaluation and correlation of test results under the atmospheric environment and a given laboratory conditions;
--- Evaluation of special types of corrosion of metals.
This standard covers the exposed sample at periodic inspection and test site atmospheric environment. It does not include the conditions of use of the corrosion test.
Given the rate of corrosion of metals depends on the ambient atmospheric corrosion testing stations. Relationship metal corrosion rate and the complexity of atmospheric variables, therefore,
Field test results can not accurately predict performance, but can provide similar performance.
1) hereinafter referred to as "metal."

1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements under atmospheric conditions metal and metal coating layer static test can be carried out in the open or under shelter conditions
test.
This standard also applies to laboratory tests.

3 Sample Requirements
3.1 Sample Type
3.1.1 sample plate
Generally used rectangular flat sample, weighing and measuring easy, simple and easy to shape and fixed in the test rack. Suitable dimensions
150mm × 100mm, if you can accurately evaluate the sample size may be larger. Specimen thickness should be sufficient to ensure that the specimen can withstand the expected test
Corrosion thinning test cycle, should also consider the possibility of inter-mechanical effects of certain materials and corrosion, the optimum thickness of 1mm ~
3mm.
The surface area of the sample with a metal covering layer should be as large as possible, in no case be less than 50cm2 (5cm × 10cm). in case
Coated member is smaller than the area of 50cm2, the same sample can be minimized by combining the required surface area. But not with the results obtained by the Regulation
Sample set minimum area specially prepared for comparison.
3.1.2 irregularly shaped samples
If necessary, bolts, pipe, bar, even the components can be tested.
If only the outer surface of the tubular sample corrosion test, the ends of the tube should be sealed.
