This standard replaces GB/T 11875-1989 "General technical conditions for ship heading change rate indicator".
This standard and GB/T 11875-1989 compared to the main changes are as follows.
--- The standard name is changed from "General technical condition of indicator of change of marine heading rate" to "Indicator of change rate of marine heading";
--- Increased instrument composition (4.1);
--- increased the function of the instrument (4.3);
--- Increased instrument design (4.4);
--- IEC 60945..2002 (5.6 ~ 5.14) for environmental adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility and noise test methods;
--- remove the mold requirements and test methods;
--- Increased storage requirements (7.3).

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
