This document replaces GB 6246-2011 "Fire Hose". Compared with GB 6246-2011, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main differences are as follows.
The technological changes are as follows.
a) A new chapter on "Terms and Definitions" has been added (see Chapter 3);
b) The model number has been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the.2011 edition);
c) Added basic parameters (see Chapter 5);
d) The appearance and design requirements have been changed (see 6.1, 4.1 of the.2011 version);

1 Scope
This document defines the terminology for fire hoses; specifies the models, basic parameters, performance requirements, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, and transportation.
Storage; describes the corresponding experimental methods.
This document applies to fire hoses (hereinafter referred to as "hose") used in fire fighting and rescue, fixed facilities, water supply and drainage, and other scenarios, including municipal and park-related applications.
For water hoses used in forestry, agriculture, boats, and other purposes, please refer to this document for implementation.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Water supply appliances consisting of a woven layer, lining, outer cover (where applicable), outer jacket (where applicable), and fire-fighting connection.
3.2
Equipped for fire and rescue teams and mini fire stations, and connected to fire trucks, fire monitors, fire hoses, fire pumps, and water distributors for firefighting.
Water hoses used in rescue training and real-world scenarios.
Note. Hereinafter referred to as "Class I water belt".

Fire hoses are typically used in conjunction with fixed fire-fighting equipment and housed in fire hydrant boxes in various buildings, projects, and facilities.
