foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents"
drafting:
This document is the first part of GB/T 5338 "Series 1 Container Technical Requirements and Test Methods": GB/T 5338 has been published
the following sections:
--- Part 1: General container;
--- Part 2: Insulated containers;
--- Part 4: Unpressurized dry bulk containers;
--- Part 5: Platform and bench-mounted containers:
This document replaces GB/T 5338-2002 "Series 1 Container Technical Requirements and Test Methods Part 1: General Containers", and
Compared with GB/T 5338-2002, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The container type code has been changed (see Table 1, Table 1 of GB/T 5338-2002 edition);
b) Changed the container type classification, added 1EEE and 1EE container types and their corresponding requirements (see 4:3, 5:2:1, 5:3, 5:7, 5:8,
6:2, 4:3, 5:2, 5:3, 5:7, 5:8, 6:2 of GB/T 5338-2002 edition);
c) Changed the width of the load transfer area from 250mm to 375mm [see 5:3:2a), GB/T 5338-2002 edition
5:3:2:1];
d) Added the requirements and diagrams for the concave space of the middle bottom corner fittings of 45ft containers (see Figure 1);
e) Delete the description of the optional structural gooseneck (see 5:8:2 and Appendix D of GB/T 5338-2002 edition);
f) An optional structural cargo bar slot has been added (see 5:8:3 and Appendix D);
g) The stacking test force values of box types 1A, 1AA, 1AAA, 1AX, 1B, 1BB, 1BBB, 1BX, 1C, 1CC and 1CX have been changed
(See Table 3, Table 3 of GB/T 5338-2002 edition);
h) Changed the strength test force value of the bottom plate from 5460kg to 7260kg (see 6:9:2, GB/T 5338-2002 edition
6:9:2);
i) Added Test 12 Barrier Groove Test (see 6:13);
j) Deleted the description of the specific requirements of the load transfer area (see Appendix B of GB/T 5338-2002 edition):
This document is equivalent to ISO 1496-1:2013 "Series 1 Container Technical Requirements and Test Methods Part 1: General Collection
Boxing":
The following minimal editorial changes have been made to this document:
--- Incorporates the content of ISO 1496-1:2013/Amd1:2016:
--- Corrected the following errors:
● Changed the width of the load transfer zone from 250mm to 375mm according to Figure B:1 of ISO 668:2020 [see 5:3:2a)];
● Deleted the requirement of "working according to 5:8:2" [see 5:3:2c)];
● A schematic diagram of the safety handle seat of the door lock lever of the container container is added (see Figure 2);
● Deleted the last sentence of "the container should be kept for 5 minutes and then put back on the ground" in the test 12 bar groove test (see
6:13:2 of ISO 1496-1:2013);
● Changed the "For the fixed cargo device installed along the length direction on the bottom plane of the box, the force should be applied laterally", ISO 1496-1:2013
Wrongly written "longitudinal force" (see C:3:1):

Introduction
Series 1 containers, as international standard containers, are circulated around the world, and the normativeness and standardization of their design, production, and inspection are crucial:
important: In order to standardize and promote the development of series 1 container transportation, ISO has formulated ISO 1496 "Series 1 container technical requirements and test
In order to provide technical support for the development of my country's container industry:
GB/T 5338 "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Series 1 Containers" is intended to guide and standardize the design and production of Series 1 containers:
Production, inspection and transportation, consists of five parts:
--- Part 1: General container: The purpose is to specify the technical requirements and test methods for series 1 general cargo containers:
--- Part 2: Insulated containers: The purpose is to specify the technical requirements and test methods for series 1 insulated containers:
--- Part 3: Liquid, gas and pressurized dry bulk tank containers: The purpose is to specify series 1 liquid, gas and pressurized dry powder
Technical requirements and test methods for tank containers:
--- Part 4: Unpressurized dry bulk containers: The purpose is to specify the technical requirements and tests for series 1 non-pressurized dry bulk containers
method:
--- Part 5: Platform and bench-mounted containers: The purpose is to specify the technical requirements and test requirements for series 1 platform and platform containers:
