Announcement on Publishing the National Standard "Code for Design of
Viscose Fibre Plant"
"Code for Design of Viscose Fibre Plant" has been approved as a national standard with a serial
number of GB 50620-20 I 0 and will be implemented from June I, 2011. Therein, Articles (Items)
4.2.1(5), 5.2.4, 5.2.7, 8.3.2, 8.6.2, 9.4.4, 11.3.6, 12.3.4, 14.2.1 , 15.2.4 and 16.3.4 (3) are compulsory
provisions and must be enforced strictly.
Authorized by the Standard Rating Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-
Rural Development of the People's Republic of China, this code is published by China Planning Press.

ForewordThis code was formulated by Jiangxi Textile Industry Scientific Designing Institute jointly with
organizations concerned according to the requirements of Document JIANBIAO [2006] No. 136 issued
by the former Ministry of Construction (MOC)- "Notice on Printing the Development and Revision
Plan (the Second Lot) ofNational Engineering Construction Standards and Codes in 2006".
During the process of formulating this code, the drafting group conducted extensive investigation,
summarized construction experience of viscose fibre plants for over 50 years in China, especially the
digestion and absorption of overseas advanced production technology of viscose fibre in recent years,
as well as the design, construction and processing experience and lesson of viscose fibre plant in China
and extensively asked for opinions, and finalized this code through review.
This code comprises 17 chapters and 5 appendixes; it mainly covers general provisions, terms,
process design, process equipment, piping, auxiliary production facilities, automatic control and instrument,
electrical, general plan, build ing and structure, water supply and drainage, heating, ventilation and air
cond itioning, motive power, environmental protection, safety and health, storage and repair of machine
and electric installations and instrument.
Provisions printed in bold type in this code are compulsory and must be enforced strictly.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China is in
charge of the administration of this code and the explanation of the compulsory provisions; China
National Texti le and Apparel Council is responsible for its routine management and Jiangxi Textile
Industry Scientific Designing Institute is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents.
