1 Scope
This chapter of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following.
This document specifies electric blankets, heating pads, electric heating clothing and other flexible appliances for heating beds or human bodies for household and similar purposes
safety requirements.
This document applies to appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V.
This document also applies to control devices supplied with the appliance.
This document also applies to appliances used in general household applications, but which may still cause danger to the public, for example, in beauty salons and in cold ambient temperatures.
Utensils used.
Requirements and tests for electrically heated clothing are given in Annex CC.
As far as practical, the common hazards presented by the various appliances covered by this document are those of all persons in or around the home.
This document does not cover.
