Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 4482-2006 "water treatment agent ferric chloride." This standard compares with GB/T 4482-2006
The changes are as follows.
--- Modify the indicator of ferric chloride for water treatment agent (see Table 1,.2006 version of Table 1);
--- Increased zinc content determination (see 6.7);
--- Removed the arsenic speckle method for the determination of arsenic content and replaced it with atomic fluorescence spectrometry (see 6.8.1,.2006 version 5.5.1);
--- Removed spectrophotometric determination of mercury content, instead of atomic fluorescence spectrometry (see 6.10.1,.2006 version 5.7.1);
--- Change the determination of chromium [Cr(VI)] content to chromium content, and change the method to electric heating atomic absorption spectrometry (see 6.12,
2006 edition of 5.9).

1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of ferric chloride as a water treatment agent.
