Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB 25434-2010 "Safety Requirements for Rubber and Plastic Calendering Machines". Compared with GB 25434-2010, the main differences are in structural adjustments and...
Aside from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope has been expanded to include “two-roll or three-roll extrusion calenders” (see Chapter 1);
b) Removed the hazards "fire hazard caused by flammable materials coming into contact with hot parts of the calender" and "fire hazard caused by the processed materials" from the list of hazards.
The dangers caused (see Chapter 1 and Appendix C of the.2010 edition);
c) Some terms and their definitions have been deleted (see 3.2 and 3.8 of the.2010 edition);
d) Some terms and their definitions have been added (see 3.1.11 and 3.1.12);
e) Design requirements for hydraulic equipment and its components, and pneumatic equipment and its components have been added (see 4.1);
f) The performance levels of safety-related components in the control system have been increased to comply with GB/T 16855.1-2018 (see 4.2.1);
g) The requirements for separating the braking system and the rollers have been changed (see 4.2.5, 4.2.6, 4.3.1.3~4.3.1.6, and 5.1.1.3.2 in the.2010 version);
h) The installation height requirement for the "trip arm" in the safety requirements and/or protective measures has been changed (see 4.3.1.4, 5.1.1.4.2 of the.2010 version);
i) Added requirements for "pressure-sensitive pads or pressure-sensitive flooring" as a safeguard (see 4.3.1.5);
j) Usage information has been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 7 in the.2010 edition).

Safety requirements for rubber and plastic calenders
1.Scope
This document specifies the safety requirements for the design and manufacture of calenders used for calendering, polishing, laminating, or embossing rubber or plastics.
This document applies to rubber and plastic calenders, two-roll or three-roll extrusion calenders, including cutting devices, feeding devices, and auxiliary components.
Integrated components such as rollers.
This document applies to the entire lifecycle of the calender (see section 5.4 of GB/T 15706-2012), during the intended use, with...
And all significant hazards, dangerous conditions, and risks related to the calender that may arise from misuse that the manufacturer could reasonably foresee.
Hazardous events (see Appendix A).
This document does not cover the following dangers.
---Hazards arising from processing explosive materials or materials that can produce explosive gases;
---Dangers caused by lasers or ionizing radiation;
---Dangers caused by the installation of calenders in potentially explosive environments.
