This document replaces GB 24541-2009 "Protective gloves for hand protection against mechanical hazards". Compared with GB 24541-2009, except for structural adjustment
In addition to rectification and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope of application of the document has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2009 edition);
b) Change and add some terms and definitions (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.4, 3.1, 3.3 of the.2009 edition);
c) Deleted some terms and definitions (see 3.2 of the.2009 edition);
d) Add the cutting resistance level requirements based on the straight knife test method in the general protection requirements (see 4.1);

1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, sampling and environment, marking, and the manufacturer's instructions for use of protective gloves against mechanical hazards.
Necessary information, describes the test methods for gloves for protection against mechanical hazards.
This document applies to gloves that provide protection against mechanical hazards of abrasion, cutting, tearing, puncture or impact.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

The protective gloves used to implement this document should first meet the applicable requirements in GB 42298-2022.
The abrasion resistance, tear resistance and puncture resistance of protective gloves against mechanical hazards shall at least meet the minimum requirements listed in Table 1.
