This document replaces GB 20429-2006 "Electric Water Heater Installation Specifications". Compared with GB 20429-2006, except for structural adjustments and editorial
In addition to the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Deleted the terms and definitions of service life in the.2006 edition (see 3.6 of the.2006 edition);
--- Deleted the requirements of the.2006 edition on instructions (see 4.4 of the.2006 edition);
--- Added the requirements for drainage factors to be considered at the installation location of the water heater (see 5.2.5);
--- Deleted the requirements for pipes and fittings used for installation and connection (see 6.2 of the.2006 edition);
--- Added the requirements for installing safety valves (see 6.3);
--- Changed the relevant requirements for trial operation (see 6.5, 6.3 and 7.3 of the.2006 edition).

1 Scope
This document specifies the installation accessory requirements, installation requirements, installation operation procedures and qualification requirements for installers of electric water heaters.
This document applies to the installation of electric water heaters (hereinafter referred to as "water heaters") specified in GB/T 4706.11 and GB/T 4706.12.
