Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB 14747-2006 "Safety Requirements for Child Tricycles". Compared with GB 14747-2006, the only changes are structural adjustments and editing.
Aside from the sexual alterations, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The applicable age range in the "Scope" section has been expanded (see Chapter 1);
b) Added illustrations of children's tricycles, and terms and definitions for accessible, locking devices, and rigid materials (see 3.1, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11); more
The wheelbase diagram and the definition of fracture have been revised (see 3.2 and 3.3,.2006 versions of 3.2 and 3.3).
c) Added technical requirements for "material quality" (see 4.1.1);
d) The wording of the "maximum limit of migrateable elements" test scope has been changed, and test exemption conditions have been added (see 4.1.2.1,.2006 version).

e) Limits and test methods for phthalates, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and short-chain chlorinated paraffins have been added (see 4.1.3, 4.1.4, and 4.1.5);

4.3.12) The requirement for "marking the insertion depth of the riser" should be expanded to include the measurement location and the specific requirements for marking the insertion depth of the riser for different structures.
See 4.3.14.1.Add a description of the measurement location to the "Saddle Insertion Depth" requirement (see 4.3.15.2). Also add "Drop Strength".
The technical requirements for the determination after the "degree" test (see 4.3.21) have been revised, and the technical requirements for the determination after the "impact strength" test have been added (see 4.3.22).
h) Added requirements for "shear point" (see 4.3.5), "accessibility of holes and edges" (see 4.3.7), and "hinge"
The technical requirements for "chain gap" (see 4.3.8) have been revised, and requirements and test methods for "folding locking device" have been added (see 4.3.9).
Requirements for "rims, tires, and inner tubes" (see 4.3.13) have been added, along with requirements and test methods for "front wheels" (see 4.3.16).
The requirements for the "foot tray" (see 4.3.20) have been expanded to include the requirements for the "sound-generating components" (see 4.3.23).
i) The requirements for "electrical components" have been added (see 4.4);
j) The requirement of the "worst-case scenario principle" has been added (see 5.1.1);
k) The requirements for the testing sequence of "Test Samples" have been changed, and principles for sample clamping, fixture installation, and accessory installation have been added (see 5.1.2,.2006 version).

u) Requirements and test methods for "plastic packaging bags and flexible plastic films" have been added (see Chapter 6);
v) The rules for adding safety warnings in the "General Requirements" section have been amended, adding a requirement for labeling warning content (see 7.1, see.2006).
Version 4.6.1 has modified the labeling rules in "Labels and Instructions for Use" (see 7.2.1~7.2.4), and added the following to "Safety Warnings".
Examples of warning symbols are provided (see 7.2.5). The "Safety Instructions and Assembly Guidelines" include added protective devices and instructions for multiple passengers.
Instructions for use regarding children, rear footrests or rear seats, foldable vehicles, and storage functions (see 7.2.6), with additional information added to the "Maintenance and Care" section.
The changes included "e.g., the flexibility of lubrication and locking devices, and the stability of basic components" (see 7.2.7), and also modified "the manufacturer's name and location".
The labeling rules in the "Address" section have been updated to include labeling requirements for separately sold components (see 7.2.8).

1 Scope
This document specifies the safety requirements for tricycles intended for one or more children under the age of 8, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document does not apply to toy tricycles or tricycles designed for other special purposes (such as amusement tricycles).
