This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB 12319-1998 "Chinese Chart Schema". Compared with GB 12319-1998, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes
Besides, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Modified the representation of the brief description and changed it to the form of a table, which corresponds to the symbols one by one;

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

depth benchmark soundingdatum
The depth starting surface of the water depth indicated on the chart.
Note. The "theoretical lowest tide level" is generally used as the depth benchmark in the coastal areas of China.
3.2
height datum heightdatum
The starting surface of the ground point elevation.
Note. China's coastal areas generally use the "1985 National Elevation Datum" as the elevation datum.
3.3
water depth soundings
The vertical distance from the depth reference to the bottom.
Note. The water depth value is in meters (m).
3.4
dry out height dryingheight
The height above the depth datum.
Note. The dry height value is in meters (m).

lamp high elevationoflight
The height of the center of the light source.
Note. China's coastal areas are generally counted from the average spring tide surface. Lamp height values are in meters (m).
