1 Scope

This document specifies a scanning electron microscope/X-ray spectrometer inspection method for current spots in the field of forensic science. This document is applicable to metal element composition inspection, metal particle morphology inspection, and metal element composition ratio of electric spot skin in the field of forensic science For inspection, other fields can also refer to it.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute the essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated references For documents, only the version corresponding to the date is applicable to this document; for undated reference documents, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable to this document. 3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GA/T 242 apply to this document. 3.1 Electric spot electricmark It is a kind of skin injury formed at the contact point between the conductor and the skin due to Joule heat and electrolysis when the current passes through the skin. 3.2 electric marks skin electricmarkskin Skin damaged by electric current. 3.3 Blank control skin blankcontrolskin Normal skin that has not been damaged by electric current.

4 principles

The metal element composition of the current spot skin and the morphology and element composition of the metal particles in the current spot skin can be examined by scanning electron microscope/ The magnification and selection analysis functions of the X-ray energy spectrometer are tested. Through further inspection of the metal conductor comparison sample, the current can be judged Whether the element types of the spot skin and the metal conductor comparison samples are the same, and whether there is a significant difference in the relative content of each element. See Appendix A for the formation mechanism of current spots and skin metallization, and the evidence value analysis of test results. Photo of metal particles in the skin of electric current spots See Appendix B for slices and X-ray spectrograms.
