1 Scope
This document specifies the equipment, methods, requirements and data management
of audio and video recordings in interrogation of criminal suspects.
This Standard applies to the audio and video recording in interrogation of criminal
suspects. For interrogation and cross-examination of suspects, victims and witnesses, if
audio and video recordings are required, the implementation may be referred to this
Standard.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 audio and video recording in interrogation of criminal suspects
When interrogating criminal suspects, a specialized technology that uses audio and
video equipment to record the whole process of the interrogation process synchronously
with audio and video.
4 Device and equipment
4.1 Functional and performance requirements
The selected synchronous audio and video recording system for interrogation shall
comply with the provisions of GA/T 882-2014.
4.2 Removable audio and video recording equipment

6 Requirements
6.1 Audio and video recording of the interrogation process shall be conducted without

6.2 The images of the audio and video recordings of the interrogation shall be clear and
stable. The voice shall be clear and identifiable. It can truly reflect the original

6.3 When conducting audio and video recording of interrogation of criminal suspects
in the investigation department or the interrogation room of the detention center, the
interrogation room shall be reasonably equipped with lighting equipment. Ensure
uniform and bright indoor lighting. Be careful to avoid direct light on the lens and
obvious shadows. Equip with emergency linkage lights. Soundproofing shall be done.
Ventilation ducts or vents shall be made of soft ducts or fitted with mufflers.
7 Material management
7.1 The storage conditions for audio and video materials of interrogation shall comply
with the relevant regulations on the management of audio and video files of public
security. Dust, moisture, high temperature and extrusion shall be avoided. Data stored
on magnetic media shall be stored in a magnetically shielded cabinet.
7.2 The confidentiality requirements for the audio and video recordings of the
interrogation shall be consistent with the interrogation transcripts of this case.
7.3 If the audio and video materials of the interrogation are recorded on a CD-ROM
and stored, they shall be made in duplicate. On the disc label or jacket, indicate the
production organization, producer, production time, production location, the name of
the interrogator, the name of the person being interrogated, the name of the case, the
case number, and the player software that can play the content of the CD normally. One
is bagged seal for the original and one for the copy.
7.4 If it is stored in a storage device such as a disk, it shall be uploaded to a special
storage device immediately after the interrogation. Make data backup. If necessary, it
can be transcribed to CD.
