1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for measuring the loop length and yarn linear density of weft knitted fabrics.
This standard is applicable to all kinds of weft-knitted fabrics. The detachable warp-knitted fabrics can be used by reference.
This standard does not apply to the inability to completely eliminate the curl on the yarn under a certain straightening tension, or the failure to split and the yarn

3 Terms and definitions

Weft-knitted fabrics
The yarn is fed into the knitted fabric knitted to form loops in the weft direction.

The length of yarn required to weave a loop in a weft or warp knitting.

The mass per unit length of fiber or yarn. It is generally expressed in tex (mass/g of yarn per kilometer).
