Summary
This standard is suitable for the design of the installation in the indoor or outdoor and run at 50Hz frequency, voltage 3kV ~ 1000kV system in the AC circuit breaker. This standard is only applicable to three-phase system in the three-pole circuit breaker and single-phase system in the single-pole circuit breaker. For bipolar circuit breakers in single-phase systems and for frequencies below 50 Hz, the agreement between the manufacturer and the user should be observed. This standard also applies to the operating mechanism of the circuit breaker and its auxiliary equipment. However, this standard does not involve a circuit breaker that relies solely on a maneuvering mechanism, since it can not specify a rated short-circuit closing current, and from a safety point of view, this mode of human operation alone should not be advocated.
