This Document is Part 25 of GB/T 4706 Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances.
GB/T 4706 has published the following parts.

This Document replaced GB 4706.25-2008 Household and Similar Electrical Appliances -
Safety - Particular Requirements for Dishwashers. Compared with GB 4706.25-2008, the
major technical changes of this Document are as follows besides the structural adjustments and
editorial modifications.
--- Change some text notes into main text (see 3.1.9, 10.1, 10.2, 15.101, 22.6, 22.103, AA.1,
AA.2 of this Edition; 3.1.9, 10.1, 10.2, 15.101, 22.6, 22.103, AA.1, AA.2 of the 2008
Edition);
--- Delete the labeling of the danger voltage symbol and height requirements (see 7.6, 7.14,
7.101 of the 2008 Edition);
--- Add the requirements regarding the appliance's usage scenarios to the instruction for use
(see 7.12 of this Edition);
--- Delete the requirements regarding components and inlet water pressure from the
installation instructions (see 7.12.1 of the 2008 Edition);
--- Delete some notes (see 19.101, 22.6, 23.101, AA.2 of the 2008 Edition);

1 Scope
This Clause of GB/T 4706.1-2024 is replaced by the following.
This Document deals with the safety of electric dishwashers for household and similar purposes.
This Document applies to electric dishwashers for household and similar purposes, with single-
phase appliances rated at no more than 250V and other appliances rated at no more than 480V,
used for washing and rinsing plates, cutlery, and other utensils.
This Document defines household and similar appliances as including those used by non-
professionals in shops, light industry, and farms. However, appliances used for professional
washing and rinsing of dishes, cutlery, etc., for commercial purposes are not considered
household and similar appliances.
In practice, the common hazards associated with the appliances covered in this Document are
those encountered by everyone in and around a dwelling.
However, this Document generally does not cover the following situations.
--- The following groups (including children).
● Those with physical, sensory, or mental disabilities, or
● Those who lack experience and knowledge,
are unable to safely use the equipment without supervision or guidance.
--- Situations involving children playing with equipment.
NOTE 101.The following situations shall be paid attention to.
--- For appliances intended for use on vehicles, ships, or aircraft, additional requirements may be
required;
--- Relevant national authorities may have stipulated additional requirements for the appliances.
