Two-dimensional code for commodity
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the data structure,
information service, symbol printing quality of the two-dimensional code for
commodities.
This standard applies to the management, application, service of two-
dimensional codes for commodities.
2 Normative references

identifier "01" AND the data field corresponding to the application identifier,
which shall appear as the first unit data string. The data field of global trade
item code consists of a 14-digit code, including packaging indicator,
manufacturer identification code, item code, check code, as shown in the
Reference [1]. For the distribution and calculation of manufacturer identification
code, item code, check code, see GB 12904.
5.2.3 Data string of batch number unit
The data string of batch number unit consists of the GS1 application identifier
"10" AND the batch number data field of the product. The data field of batch
number is an alphanumeric string, which is defined by the manufacturer, with a
variable length and a maximum length of 20 bytes; it can contain all the
characters in Table B.1.
5.2.4 Data string of serial number unit
The data string of serial number unit is composed of the GS1 application
identifier "21" AND the serial number data field of the product. The serial
number data field is the alphanumeric characters, which are defined by the
manufacturer; the length is variable AND the maximum length is 20 bytes; it can
contain all the characters in Table B.1.
5.2.5 Data string of validity period unit
The data string of validity period unit is composed of the GS1 application
identifier "17" AND the validity period data field of the commodity. The data field
of validity period is a 6-digit fixed-length number, which is composed of year
(the last 2 digits), month (2 digits), day (2 digits), in order.
5.2.6 Data string of extended data item unit
The data string of extended data item unit is taken from Table A.1. The user can
select 1 ~ 3 unit data strings from Table A.1, to represent other extended
information of the product.
5.2.7 Data string of package extension information URL unit
The data string of package extension information URL unit is composed of the
GS1 application identifier "8200" AND the data field of corresponding package
extension information URL. The data field of the package extension information
URL is the URL, which is authorized by the manufacturer, AND complies with
the relevant requirements in the RFC1738 protocol.
5.3 National unified website data structure
The national unified website data structure consists of three parts: the service
combinations shall be separated by URI separators. Each pair of combinations
is composed of two parts, the query keyword AND the corresponding AI data
field; the two parts shall be separated by a URI separator.
6 Information service of two-dimensional code for
commodities
6.1 Information service of coding data structure
When the terminal scans and reads the two-dimensional code for commodities,
it shall analyze the information, which is carried by the two-dimensional code.
For each unit data string, as contained in the data of two-dimensional code for
commodities, look up table A.1 according to the analyzed AI, to obtain the name
of the unit data string AND the corresponding AI data field, which are
transmitted to the local commodity information management system. For details,
refer to D.1.1 in Appendix D. For the process of obtaining commodity
information services, through the network, refer to D.1.2 in Appendix D.
6.2 Information services of the national unified website data structure
The national two-dimensional code integrated service platform assigns a
unique identification code to the commodity; the service address of the national
two-dimensional code integrated service platform connects with the
identification code, to form a product two-dimensional code, which corresponds
to the complete information service address of the product. When the terminal
scans the two-dimensional code for commodity, access the OWS information
service of the national two-dimensional code integrated service platform, to
obtain the complete information service address of the product. See Appendix
D.2 for details.
6.3 Information service of manufacturer-defined URL data structure
When the terminal scans and reads the two-dimensional code for commodities,
link the manufacturer OR the network service address of two-dimensional code
for commodities, which is authorized by the manufacturer, to obtain the product
information page of two-dimensional code for commodities. See Appendix D.3
for details.
7 Symbols of two-dimensional code for commodities
7.1 Symbology
The two-dimensional code of the commodity shall adopt Chinese-sensible code,
quick response matrix code (QR code) or data matrix code (Data Matrix code),
which has GS1 or FNC1 mode, AND the two-dimensional code system of
national standards or international ISO standards. Among them, the coding data
structure shall be coded in the GS1 mode or FNC1 mode of the code system,
when the two-dimensional code symbol is expressed.
7.2 The size of two-dimensional code for commodities
The size of the two-dimensional code symbol for the commodity shall be
determined comprehensively, according to factors, such as the encoding
content, error correction level, reading device and system, the allowable space
of the label. If necessary, it needs to be determined, by related adaptability
experiments. The minimum module size shall not be less than 0.254 mm.
7.3 Symbol position of two-dimensional code for commodities
See Appendix E, for the selection of the symbol position of the two-dimensional
code for commodities.
7.4 The position of the graphic identification of two-dimensional code for
commodities
Refer to Appendix F, for the placement plan of the graphic identification of two-
dimensional code for commodities.
8 Symbol quality requirements of two-dimensional
code for commodities
8.1 Symbol quality level of two-dimensional code for commodities
The quality level of the two-dimensional code symbol for commodity should not
be lower than 1.5/XX/660. Among them: 1.5 is the symbol level value; XX is the
reference number of the measurement aperture (the measurement aperture
size is different, in different application environments); 660 is the measurement
light wavelength. The unit is nm; the allowable deviation is ±10 nm.
8.2 The printing quality test requirements of the two-dimensional code
symbol for commodity
The quality level of the two-dimensional code symbols for commodities shall be
tested, according to GB/T 23704, the corresponding symbology standards, the
symbol quality requirements of this standard.

Information service of product QR code
D.1 Information service of coded data structure
D.1.1 Local information service of coded data structure
When the terminal scans and reads the two-dimensional code for commodity, it
shall analyze the information, which is carried by the two-dimensional code. For
each unit data string, which is contained in the two-dimensional code for
commodity data, look up Table A.1, according to the analyzed AI, to obtain the
name of the unit data string AND the corresponding AI data field, which are
transmitted to the local commodity information management system. The name
of unit data string AND the corresponding AI data field are separated by ":"; the
information of different unit data strings is displayed in rows.

D.1.2 Network information service of coded data structure
The network information service of the coded data structure is to parse out the
complete information service address of the product, through the two-
dimensional code for commodity. The query parameter string of the complete
information service address of the commodity is formed, by combining the other
data fields in the two-dimensional code for commodity, than the package
extension information URL, in order. The composition format is as shown in
Table D.1.
c) The service address and the identification code are combined into a two-
dimensional code for commodity.

D.2.2 OWS analysis service
The OWS analysis service of the National two-dimensional code integrated
service platform provides a catalog service, which uses identification codes as
keywords, to obtain the complete information service address of the two-
dimensional code for commodity. Scan the two-dimensional code for
commodity on the terminal, to access the OWS system of the national two-
dimensional code integrated service platform, to obtain and access the
complete information service address of the corresponding commodity. The
procedures for OWS parsing service are as follows:
a) Scan the two-dimensional code on the terminal;
b) Access the OWS service of the national integrated service platform, to
obtain the complete information service address of the commodity;
c) Access the complete information service address of the commodity.
